Passwords for private-access areas, like the athena Patient Portal, are your responsibility. We are not liable for unauthorized use of your password. For registered BWH patients, the athena Patient Portal offers access to personal health information, separate from the Digital Service. BWH does not control the athena Patient Portal and patients can make credit card payments for services through it.

If you are a BWH patient, can I access my information through the Digital Service?

The athena Patient Portal, operated by athena, is for registered BWH patients and is distinct from the Digital Service. BWH does not manage the athena Patient Portal. Patients can access it and make credit card payments for services provided by BWH. Such payments are subject to individual insurance coverage limitations.
If registered in the athena Patient Portal, credit card payments for BWH services are possible. Ensure your card is approved for this use and verify with your insurance carrier regarding coverage. BWH bears no responsibility if the financial institution rejects your card.

Can I apply online for a job at BWH?

No, BWH is not accepting employment applications at this time.

Does BWH have a Privacy Policy?

Yes, the BWH Privacy Policy governs Digital Service use, incorporated into these Terms of Use. Protected health information collection follows BWH’s Notice of Privacy Practices. By using the Digital Service, you consent to actions in compliance with the Privacy Policy.

Are there any restrictions on what I can do with the Digital Service?

Use the Digital Service for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms of Use. Prohibited actions include violating laws, exploiting minors, using unauthorized materials, transmitting unsolicited material, impersonating entities, and engaging in conduct harming BWH or users. BWH reserves rights not expressly granted in these Terms of Use.

Intellectual Property Rights:

  • Temporary storage in RAM by your computer incidental to accessing and viewing materials.

  • Downloading a single copy of desktop, mobile, or other applications for personal, non-commercial use, subject to an end-user license agreement.

Violation of these Terms of Use will result in the immediate cessation of your right to use the Digital Service, and at BWH’s option, you must return or destroy any copies of the materials you have made. BWH collaborates with third-party vendors for specific services and content delivery. Current third-party vendors include:
  • Google Analytics: Used for tracking queries and DoubleClick technology for ad tracking. 
  • BWH retains the right to update and modify the list of third-party vendors at its discretion.

Dispute resolution:

The Digital Service Terms of Use constitute a binding agreement governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Each party submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of state and federal courts in the County of Maricopa, State of Arizona, waiving any jurisdictional objections. Legal issues must be initiated within one year, and BWH is entitled to costs and attorney fees.

Entire agreement:

The Digital Service Terms of Use, along with the BWH Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between BWH and users. Waivers, modifications, or severance of any provision must be in writing. No waiver of terms or conditions by BWH constitutes a continuing waiver. If any provision is deemed unenforceable, it will be modified or severed, and the remaining terms will remain valid.
